Monsanto found guilty of chemical poisoning in

landmark case

(NaturalNews) A French farmer who can no longer perform his routine farming duties because of permanent pesticide injuries has had his day in court, literally, and the perpetrator of his injuries found guilty of chemical poisoning. The French court in Lyon ruled that Monsanto’s Lasso weedkiller formula, which contains the active ingredient alachlor, caused Paul Francois to develop lifelong neurological damage that manifests as persistent memory loss, headaches, and stuttering during speech.
Reports indicate that the 47-year-old farmer sued Monsanto back in 2004 after inhaling the Lasso product while cleaning his sprayer tank equipment. Not long after, Francois began experiencing lasting symptoms that prevented him from working, which he says were directly linked to exposure to the chemical. Since Lasso’s packaging did not bear adequate warnings about the dangers of exposure, Francois alleged at the time that Monsanto was essentially negligent in providing adequate protection for its customers.
To the surprise of many, the French court agreed with the claims and evidence presented before it, declaring earlier this year that "Monsanto is responsible for Paul Francois’ suffering after he inhaled the Lasso product … and must entirely compensate him." The court is said to be seeking expert opinion on how to gauge Francois’ losses in order to determine precisely how much Monsanto will be required to compensate him in the case.
"It is a historic decision in so far as it is the first time that a (pesticide) maker is found guilty of such a poisoning," said Francois Lafforgue, Paul Francois’ lawyer, to Reuters earlier in the year.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), exposure to alachlor can cause damage to the liver, kidneys, spleen, and eyes, and may lead to the development of anemia and even cancer. The EPA apparently views alachlor as so dangerous, in fact, that the agency has set the maximum contaminant level goals (MCLG) for alachlor to zero in order to "prevent potential health problems." In 2007, France officially banned Lasso from use in the country in accordance with a European Union (EU) directive enacted in 2006 prohibiting the chemical from further use on crops in any member countries. But despite all the evidence proving that alachlor can disrupt hormonal balance, induce reproductive or developmental problems, and cause cancer, the chemical is still being used on conventional crops throughout the U.S. to this very day. The debate as to whether or not genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are causing serious health issues like infertility and even death is proclaimed as ‘heated’ and ‘inconclusive’ by the mainstream media, but even the very scientists working behind the scenes appear to acknowledge the reality of their effects.

In one such communication I received from a very angry biotech scientist who proclaimed it was ‘awesome’ if GMOs were causing mass infertility and death, it becomes tragically clear that even many of the scientists working in the biotech field know full well that GMOs are causing significant bouts of disease across the globe.

Independently verified by both our team and a separate team of experts, this biotech scientist who works for a well-known firm was either apathetic or ignorant to ways in which you can conceal your identity through more advanced methods than what he utilized.

Using profanity and a few words in all capital letters, it’s easy to see just how outraged this scientist is that in my article I deemed those who create GMOs and unleash them on the public without proper warning to be ‘traitors to humanity’.

It appears he must have also read the comment section, where readers voiced their own (oftentimes stronger) opinions on these scientists.

In the email, the biotech scientist known as ‘Ed’ explains how he thinks it’s absolutely ‘awesome’ that GMOs are contributing to fertility, as he believes the world is overpopulated.

He also attacks me personally for my work on warning the public over the dangers of GMOs (particularly the latest news over the research linking GMOs to organ failure and tumor development).

As of right now we have not released the full name of ‘Ed’ nor his organization, but we may in the future after considering the legal concerns.

The world is over-populated, and people need to stop having children. This is one of earth’s largest problems.

If the earth wasn’t overpopulated, things like growth hormones wouldn’t EXIST.

GMO Scientists Furious at Growing Public Awareness

The email comes at a time when public awareness over GMOs is growing at an exponential rate.

With reality television shows being produced solely on the basis of studying the association between tumor development and GMOs and 2-to-1 lead on the California GMO labeling bill Prop 37, biotech scientists have become furious.

After all, for years their corporations have been hiding behind biotech-funded phony science and high level  politicians with deep ties to leading bitoech corporations.

As WikiLeaks reveals, they even have many if not all US diplomats on the payroll.

But now, the grasp of biotech corporations on the food chain is dwindling. Russia, Poland, Hungary, Peru, and many other nations have all enacted full or at least partial bans on GMO varieties.

In the US, Prop 37 is set to pass this November. While it appears some GMO scientists actually enjoy what they are doing to the public, they also know that the reign of GMO giants is rapidly decaying.

How ‘scientific poisoners’ threaten the future of life on

There is a battle being waged for your mind. To the victor comes influence over your beliefs, you purchase decisions, and even your values. On one side of the battlefield are the so-called ‘scientific’ poisoners, who are really just proxy scientists and propagandists promoting corporate interests. These ‘scientists’ want to convince you that there’s no such thing as a dangerous pesticide. That GMOs are harmless, in fact healthful. That autism isn’t caused by any possibly related to chemical exposure, and that vaccines are a scientific gift to humanity, without which we would have all died from infectious disease.

There is no chemical the scientific poisoners do not think is safe to put on your skin or ingest into your body. Hydrofluosilicic acid — also mistakenly called “fluoride” — is perfectly safe to drink, they say. Chemotherapy is good for you and doesn’t make your hair fall out or damage your kidneys. Psychiatric drugs are more important than vitamins. Pharmaceuticals should be your nutrition! And your immune system is incomplete without vaccine intervention at the tip of a needle.

This “cult of scientism” believes that nature is a failure. Your body is a failure. That nothing good happens without chemical intervention. Crops won’t grow unless they’re GMO. The world will starve without bt insecticides being engineered into the kernels of corn. Humans would be extinct if not for vaccines and pharmaceuticals. There is no God. Instead, we should worship Monsanto, Dupont, Dow Chemical, Merck, Pfizer, and all the other corporate giants that produce the chemicals we’re supposed to consume.

The “naturalists” seek to protect life

On the other side of this battleground are the naturalists. The protectors of life. People who have a home garden and know the value of open-pollinated seeds. People who eat real food, organic food, grown without toxic chemical pesticides, fungicides and synthetic fertilizer.

These people recognize the wisdom of nature; the self-healing potential of the human body; the value of nutrition; and the importance of protecting the environment in the interests of sustaining life on our planet. To the naturalists, playing God with seeds is a crime against nature. Injecting toddlers with mercury preservatives is a violation of basic human rights. Dumping toxic fluoride chemicals into the public water supply is a violation of not just law, but of the very principles of scientific medicine.

The naturalists want to stop the poisoning of the planet, of our children, of the oceans and the air. They want GMOs labeled on foods. They want the choice to opt out of dangerous experimental vaccines, none of which have ever been proven in randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies.

The naturalists, in essence, want to protect life. The seek to live without the devastating scourge of synthetic chemicals. They see that life is sacred, and fragile, and that arrogant intervention is a dangerous thing.

The corporate agenda of death and profit

The naturalists are out-funded, however. The scientific poisoners have seemingly unlimited corporate funds to push their poison agenda. They have money to lobby lawmakers, to run television ad campaigns that influence votes at the polls. They have money to buy off the regulators such as the USDA and FDA. They have so much money, in fact, they have bought off virtually every university, every medical school and every medical journal in the world. On top of that, they own the mainstream media. They set the editorial agenda that you ultimately see at the New York Times, or CNN, or MSNBC.

The agenda is always pro-corporation. Anti-human. Pro profit. Anti-health. Pro sickness and disease. Anti wellness and longevity. Pro medical enslavement. Anti health freedom.

The scientific poisoners have now realized that truthful information is a threat to their entire business model. If GMOs have to be labeled on foods, for example, nobody will buy them. If the truth about chemotherapy had to be told to cancer patients, nobody would accept it. If people really knew what chemicals go into their foods, and medicines, and skin lotions and backyard weed killers, they’d never buy them again.

That’s because the truth about the toxicity of all these chemicals is horrifying. There are currently over 50,000 synthetic chemicals in your food, medicine, personal care and home care products which have never been safety tested nor approved by any government agency. Taken one at a time, each individual chemical is already toxic at a certain level, but when absorbed in combination, the result on human health, cognitive function and fertility is catastrophic.

Cancer rates are skyrocketing. Autism is off the charts. Alzheimer’s and dementia is happening to younger and younger people. Infertility is at record levels. Obesity is through the roof. Skin conditions, asthma, allergies and inflammation are all at the highest levels ever documented in human history. But the scientific poisoners somehow want you to believe all of this has no cause. It couldn’t be the chemicals, they insist, because the chemicals are safe! And how do we know that? Because the corporate scientists said so.

As we are all being poisoned, the corporations are raking in record profits. As our soils are being killed with chemicals, made into infertile croplands, we’re being lied to, told that GMOs will “feed the world.” Yet millions of farmers in India who relied on GMOs are now dead, having committed suicide after experiencing total crop failures for their genetically engineered crops. They were lied to. And WE are being lied to as well.

A betrayal of humanity in the name of “science”

The scientific poisoners promise abundance but deliver starvation. They promise health but deliver suffering and disease. They promise control over nature but actually cause out-of-control nature, such as the antibiotic-resistant superbugs that now threaten humanity, and for which there is no defense. The scientific poisoners are worse than politicians: They not only fail to deliver what they promise; they make things far worse. GMOs now threaten the planet with runaway, self-replicating genetic pollution. Fluoride chemicals dumb down the population, retarding brain growth. Medication chemicals only propagate chronic degenerative disease while curing nothing.

Corporate-sponsored science, it turns out, is a fraud. It offers nothing to humanity other than enslavement, sickness, starvation and death. Not all science is bad, of course, but when science is conducted in the name of corporate interests, it ceases to be any science at all. It becomes a doctrine. A religion. A cult more dangerous than anything our world has ever witnessed. “Scientism” has become the new Church, and it is a Church that tolerates no dissention, no real scientific inquiry, and no opposing views. You are either 100% in favor of pesticides, vaccines, GMOs, psychiatric drugs and lawn care chemicals, or you are condemned by the Church of Scientism as a heretic.

Do you stand for life and the natural world, or do you stand for corporate-driven “scientific” death?

It is time for us all to gain clarity on where we stand on this battleground. The battle lines are drawn. On one side, there are the corporations, their proxy scientists, the media sellouts, and the pushers of everything toxic under the sun: vaccines, fluoride, chemotherapy, prescription drugs, GMOs, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and genocide.

On the other side are those of us who seek to protect life. We hold sacred organic foods, home gardening, health freedom, the power of choice, knowledge, wisdom and the protection of our children. We hold sacred open-pollinated seeds, and the insect pollinators that make them work! We believe in clean water, clean air, bright sunshine, rainwater collection, critical thinking, self-care, consciousness, spirituality and the healing arts. We are the future of humankind. We are the answer to the continuation of life on Earth. And we will fight for that future, against the poisoners, against the fraudulent quack science, and against the toxic chemicals that corporations want to force us to consume.

Don’t celebrate yet, but a grassroots victory against

GMO deception is now inevitable

(NaturalNews) The battle against genetically modified organisms being secretly engineered into our foods now has only one possible outcome: Victory for the People… and defeat of the corporate quack scientists and the outrageously dishonest and sinister biotech industry that has shoved GMO down our throats for a decade or more.
In terms of victory, I’m not just talking about Proposition 37, although that could very well be a turning point that accelerates the consumer victory. But even if Proposition 37 doesn’t pass, the end of the line for hidden GMOs in our food is fast approaching. The word is out. People are getting informed. There’s absolutely no going back to the era of "GMO ignorance," and the truth about GMOs causing cancer, infertility, organ damage and other deadly health problems is circulating everywhere.
Even Whole Foods is now teaching its own employees more details about GMO so that they can better answer customer’s questions about GMO.
GMO labeling laws are in the planning stages in several states across the country, and Rep. Dennis Kucinich has already introduced a national GMO labeling law called the Genetically Engineered Food Safety Act, or H.R. 6635.
Monsanto is on the run from activists. Honest doctors and scientists everywhere are waking up and speaking out against GMO. Food retailers like Green PolkaDot Box have already abandoned GMOand they now run an online store that’s virtually free of all genetically modified products.
And what’s really fascinating is that both organics-loving progressives and liberty-loving conservatives are loudly speaking out against GMOs for all the same reasons!

Progressives, conservatives, libertarians… everybody wants to stop foods from being secretly formulated with deadly GMO

Think about it: What other issue has the widespread support of churches, environmentalists, health experts, food gurus, farmers and natural health consumers? Only the issue of GMO.
Our victory against the scourge of GMO is now inevitable. We have passed the tipping point of consumer awareness that Jeffrey Smith has long been advocating.
The "No on 37" campaign can only resort to lies now. They can’t debate the facts on GMO. Their dishonest advertisements in California dare not even mention the term "genetic engineering!" They have desperately and pathetically turned to a campaign of obfuscation and confusion because they simply have no defense against a commonsense GMO labeling law.
GMOs should be labeled just like fats, sugars, proteins, calories and ingredients. It’s basic common sense… and everybody knows it.

High sales of GMO based entirely on ignorance

GMOs are an industry based entirely on ignorance. GMOs are the only product whose retail success is based entirely on the fact that consumers had no idea they were buying them.
GMOs are the only products that people ACCIDENTALLY purchase!
Think about it:
• Nobody actively goes to the grocery store and seeks out foods with GMOs in them.
• No food company declares "Now, made with GMO!" on the label of any product they make.
• No grocery store advertises, "We sell GMO in our store!"
GMOs are only purchased accidentally by consumers. Nobody buys them on purpose. They buy them out of ignorance. And when that ignorance is transformed into knowledge, nobody wants to eat GMO!

GMOs are poison! That’s why they kill rats and cause horrifying cancer tumors, infertility, organ damage and premature death. Those are scientific statements, not merely opinions or emotional reactions. This is really happening. There really is poison in the food.

GMO alert: Eating GM wheat may destroy your liver,

warn scientists

(NaturalNews) Genetically engineered wheat contains an enzyme suppressor that, when consumed by humans, could cause permanent liver failure (and death). That’s the warning issued today by molecular biologist Jack Heinemann of theUniversity of Canterbury in Australia.
Heinemann has published an eye-opening reportthat details this warning and calls for rigorous scientific testing on animals before this crop is ever consumed by humans. The enzyme suppressor in the wheat, he says, might also attack a human enzyme that produces glycogen. Consumers who eat genetically modified wheat would end up contaminating their bodies with this enzyme-destroying wheat, causing their own livers to be unable to produce glycogen, a hormone molecule that helps the body regulate blood sugar metabolism. This, in turn, would lead to liver failure.
"What we found is that the molecules created in this wheat, intended to silence wheat genes, can match human genes, and through ingestion, these molecules can enter human beings and potentially silence our genes," said Heinemann in a press conference on the threat of GM wheat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI7n_caiTvE).
"We found over 770 pages of potential matches between these two genes in wheat and the human genome," he continued. "We found over a dozen matches that are extensive and identical, and sufficient to cause silencing in experimental systems. The findings are absolutely assured. There’s no doubt that these matches exist. …from this information, we know that it’s plausible there will be an adverse effect and therefore that’s why we’re calling for a particular battery of experiments to be done before humans eat this wheat."
Professor Judy Carman, biochemist and director of the IHER, Flinders University, Adelaide, added: "If this silences the same sort of gene in us — as it silences in the wheat — then, well, children who are born with this enzyme not working tend to die by the age of about five. And adults with this problem, just kind of get more and more sick, and more and more tired, until they get very very ill indeed."
She continues, "Before this comes near any human feeding studies, you need to undertake thorough animal safety assessments, where you actually look to see if the animals get sick. So you need to see if this genetic modification survives digestion and gets into the bodies of the animals. You need to see what effect it has on them. You need to do proper long-term toxicology studies… you need to check for cancer, you need to see if there are any reproductive problems, and you need to check for allergies…"
CLARIFICATION: This note was added after initial publication to help clarify the status of GM wheat. Currently, GM wheat is not commercialized. It’s not yet found in everyday foods. But the GMO industry is trying to commercialize it while skipping any real safety testing and buying off regulators to declare it safe. GM corn, of course, is already widely used in foods, as is GM soy. But GM wheat is not yet in the food supply. If we don’t resist the domination of the biotech industry, however, it soon will be.

GMO pushers want you and your children to be the guinea pigs

As you consider this information, keep in mind that GMO pushers want you and your children to eat GMOs that have never been safety tested on anyone! You are simply supposed to believe in the safety of GMOs, like a cult followers, without any scientific evidence proving it.
In today’s corporate-run quack science agricultural system, YOU are the human guinea pigs. There is no science behind the safety of GMOs, and in fact the real science shows that GMOs cause infertility, sickness and disease in the animal tests that have been done. GMOs are a threat to humanity, and those who promote them are junk science villains who have sold their souls to the criminal biotechnology industry.
The GMO industry is so evil that it doesn’t even want you to know you’re eating GMOs! For their study, EWG researchers compiled data from 2011 U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data sheets on average per capita consumption of various GM foods, including corn-based sweeteners like corn syrup, salad oils, and various other "corn products" like corn oil and corn meal. They then analyzed these figures based on the percentages of each of the crops used to make these products that are genetically engineered in the U.S.
The average adult in America, it turns out, weighs 179 pounds, and consumes an average of 193 pounds of GM corn-based products and salad oils every year. And when various other GMOs are added into the mix that were not included as part of the original study — in addition to corn and sugar beets, soybean oil and other soy-based products, conventional papaya, and canola oil are all widely consumed foods of GM origin as well — the contrast between body weight and GMO consumption widens even more significantly.
"From these figures, EWG calculated that the average American annually consumes genetically engineered foods in these quantities: 68 pounds of beet sugar, 58 pounds of corn syrup, 38 pounds of soybean oil and 29 pounds of corn-based products, for a total of 193 pounds," says EWG.

With more new GMOs on the way, consumption patterns expected to increase dramatically

These figures are only estimates, of course, as some Americans are health savvy enough to avoid many of the common GMO ingredients and additives used in conventional foods, while others chug down excess amounts of corn syrup-laden sodas and soy-glutted condiments and sauces like it is nobody’s business. But the fact of the matter is that Americans as a whole are being used as human guinea pigs in a massive biotechnology experiment with uncharted ramifications.
And the really bad news is that, unless GMO labeling laws like Proposition 37 in California are passed in the very near future, the biotechnology industry will continue to secretly release evermore GMOs into the food supply. In the next few decades, in fact, Americans will very likely be subjected to a whole host of new, undisclosed GMOs if mandatory GMO labeling does not become a national standard.
"EWG considered only three genetically engineered crops (for its study), but more than 30 others are currently being tested in field trials, including apples, barley, bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cherries, chili peppers, coffee, cranberries, cucumber, flax, grapefruit, kiwi, lentils, lettuce, melons, mustard, oats, olives, onions, peanuts, pears, peas, persimmons, pineapple, radishes, strawberries, sugar cane, sunflower, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, walnuts and watercress," adds EWG.
"While it is unclear how long it may take for these new genetically engineered crops to reach the market, this long list makes it likely that people could be eating two or three times their weight in GE food annually within the next decade."

Was the ‘Yes on 37′ campaign undermined by its allies?

Before you decide I’m just making this stuff up, answer this question: do you really think food sellers like Whole Foods wanted to see hundreds, maybe thousands of their store products suddenly say “GENETICALLY ENGINEERED” on them?

Are you kidding?

Well, that’s exactly what would have happened if YES ON 37 had won.

With that prologue, let’s begin.

I’m not talking about the workers for the YES ON 37 campaign. There is no doubt the ground game was fought by honest people. But at the top level, a few “suits” relied on advice from professionals who told them there was only one way to win the vote:

Focus on the consumers’ right to know what was in their food.

That’s it. That was the biggest message.

Why?

Because the other message would have exposed the natural foods industry. And that other message was:

GMOs are horrible. GMO food is destructive to health, to the soil, to farmers…and, by the way:

The natural foods industry, which is big business in California, sells tons and tons of GMO food.

It’s labeled “natural.” But in a huge number of cases, “natural” contains GMOs.

Get it?

Without all that “natural” food ringing cash registers, big health-food sellers would go belly up.

If YES ON 37 had gone all in on a campaign to educate the people of California about the dangers of GMOs, this would have inevitably revealed that the “natural” food that people were already buying and eating was contaminated to the hilt with GMOs.

And that would have been bad for business.

There were many people at lower levels of the YES ON 37 campaign who wanted to educate the people of California about the dangers of GMO food. But they were rebuffed.

Face it, some big natural food sellers in America have accepted the presence of Monsanto and other GMO crocodiles as permanent fixtures in the landscape. These food sellers reason this way:

“We sell organic food, which is free from all but small traces of GMOs. That’s what we offer to those who don’t want GMOs. All our “natural” products? That’s GMO territory, and there is nothing we can do about it.”

In any election campaign, you go after the undecided vote. Everybody else has already made up their minds. In California, the undecided people were on the fence because they didn’t know why labeling GMO food was necessary. They needed to be taught.

But that wasn’t the major thrust of the YES ON 37 campaign.

People needed to know they should want labeling because eating GMO food is dangerous.

The people of CA didn’t get that message loud and clear. It wasn’t delivered with great energy and power.

And that helped the natural food industry. It helped them a lot.

They can continue to sell thousands of food products with “natural” labels on them, and consumers won’t know they’re eating GMOs, and consumers won’t know why that’s a very bad thing.

People who already understand the GMO issue and what Monsanto is doing to the planet assume millions of other people know, too. They see the YES ON 37 campaign as the first big wedge into other states and other campaigns.

They don’t realize how many Americans don’t have a clue about GMOs and Monsanto.

The big-shot suits from the YES ON 37 campaign better take a long hard look at the pollsters and advisers they’re using. When those pollsters tell them, again, in other states, to focus only on “the right to know what’s in your food,” they should stop and ask themselves:

Whose side are these pollsters really on?

And the non-organic “natural food” sellers? Whose side are they on?
